UPDATE: Brian Williams acknowledged this piece of video on Friday's 'Nightly News.' During his email feedback section, he thanked viewers for pointing it out. BUT HE FAILED TO SAY how Delta explained what happened after a follow-up call. Perhaps, there was no call from NBC to Delta to say, 'We'd love to do a story about how things get damaged or destroyed in luggage.'
First.. a great piece of video... thanks to Delta, NBC and YouTube.
Now...
We might expect a little less security at smaller airports but my experience today was very surprising. I happened to be visiting family back in the Southern Ohio and West Virginia area for the holidays. I flew from Minneapolis to Detroit and then into Charleston Thursday morning (the best price for the times I needed). When I returned to the airport today about 90 minutes before my flight, I walked to the usual kiosk check-in for Northwest Airlines. Before I could get started the attendant asked ‘what’s your name?” He then proceeded to flip through a stack of pre-printed tickets. He handed my ticket and the ticket for my connection. I stared almost blankly back at him. No one at check-in ever asked for my identification! I had a ticket just handed to me! The airport was not busy. I was not late for my flight. My departing plane was not even at the gate when I arrived. Needless to say in this era of terrorism threats, I was shocked. I bet you won’t see that story on all the newscasts that ‘wrap up a busy travel weekend.”

Please, please, please get Jenna Wolfe off the Today Show. Her voice is brash and irritating and I don't like looking at her.
